Hello!

Hello the internet!

I have lots of wishes about the weather lately. And continued funding for my kickstarter shenanigans. And hopes for beautiful gum ball machines and finding that special jar to house the thousands of wishing stars I will get between now and the end of the year.

Talk to me! School just started, which teachers do you wish would disappear? The economy is terrible, which jobs do you wish would appear? Who do you hope will discover their dreams, where do you go in your own dreams?

I have recently started brainstorming about other sites I can explore and encourage to check us out. This was after a kindly soul threw a link up at a near by knitting website. Follow this wonderful person's example and tell all your friends and link it to the least mention of anything related to this project! The idea is for it to grow, but I can't do that without your help.

  1. “I wish I was back home in bed,” she thought as she felt herself being pulled upwards to the rolling top of the sea. As soon as they broke the surface, she threw up in her attempt to gasp for breath. Voices she couldn’t make out were yelling and she felt a rope being tied around her waist. A voice closer to her ear hollered up and another yelled down in response. As she was lifted from the water, she passed out.

And then woke up as she was jarringly set a wooden ground. She leaned forward and threw up again, tasting the brine and leftover pizza in her mouth. It took her a moment to regain her senses, but she was at the brink of exhaustion and could barely keep her head up. Silence, though, made her look up.

A group of about five scraggly, bearded men were looking at her intensely. They stood a respectful distance away but their concentrated gazes caused her to squirm. She was unable to judge what nationality they were; each man was tanned dark from the sun and none talked.

“Hi,” she said hoarsely. “Thank you,” she added a second later after remembering her manners. None of them responded. “Parle vous? Voulez vous? Yo quiero Taco Bell?” she tried. They continued to stare at her and do nothing. She looked around and found that she was on the bow of a small boat.

The men parted suddenly to let through a tall, dripping man. He walked towards Elaine and tossed a blanket he was holding to her. “Dry off,” he said and then kneeled in front of her to look at her closely. She had begun drying off her short pink hair and leaned away from him.

“I have some questions,” she said simply while still trying to avoid his gaze. He had the bluest eyes she had ever seen in her life and the intensity of them centered on her was making her more uncomfortable then the strange men that were staring at her. His coal black hair was cropped short against his head although his beard didn’t look like it had been trimmed in months. “The first being how I ended up in the water.”

“Did you fall off a boat?” he asked, questioning the obvious first.

    “Uh, no.”

He shrugged. “Did you fall off an airship?” She shook her head. “Hmm, was there a fog before you fell in?”

    "Yes!" she exclaimed.

  2. I wish I knew the answers to everything, although that might eventually go wrong.

Also, have you thought about trying to make a Youtube video or something along those lines to help advertise for freesies? Or Craiglist for wishes?
